FUND ADVISOR

Eloiza Altoro is the Fund Advisor for the Nonprofit Management Fund. As the Fund Advisor for the Nonprofit Management Fund, Altoro manages the donor managed fund, awarding grants to small and medium size nonprofit organizations. She acts as the face of the Fund, balancing relationships between funders, potential grantees and the nonprofit sector as a whole. She manages the grant-making process of the Fund, including fiscal management, reporting, and communications with applicants and grantees throughout the process.

She is responsible for engaging current funders and helping to attract additional funders; reviewing applications for due diligence and match to guidelines; advises grant applicants on grant guidelines, criteria and reporting requirements; meets with applicants and grantees as needed. Eloiza’s work includes planning, researching related trends in organizational effectiveness and identifying the needs of area nonprofits all of which is central to her work at the Fund. She also drafts policies for Committee review and approval and determines need and format for training workshops for nonprofits and consultants.

BACKGROUND


​Eloiza has over 25 years of experience working for and with professional associations and nonprofit organizations. She is currently the Principal Consultant of Mind Redesign Consulting, a business that she founded over 20 years ago to provide Board governance, transition management, and organizational development services. Her specialty areas of practice include organizational development and change, leadership development, strategic planning and facilitation, organizational assessment and evaluation, and board development and governance. Mind Redesign Consulting applies highly customized, culturally sensitive and mission-driven approaches, based on research and best practices.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Eloiza has a Master’s of Science in Human Services, with an emphasis in Management and Organizational Leadership from Springfield College and two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Alverno College in Clinical Psychology and Professional Communications. She also holds the credentials, Certified Association Executive (CAE), through the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
