Terrie Temkin, Ph.D. - is the founder and president of NonProfit Management Solutions, Inc., an international consulting firm, and a principal in CoreStrategies for Nonprofits, Inc., a consortium of consultants transforming family and celebrity foundations to better impact their communities. She is also one of the nation's premier governance experts, bringing more than 30 years of experience as a board director, officer, executive director and consultant to her work.

Terrie has spent the last two years focusing on the topic of building strategic thinking boards. She is a prolific writer, publishing extensively in many nonprofit journals. She has also written three books, has chapters in three others, and for five years wrote the Miami Herald's "On the Board" column. In her spare time, she teaches governance at Florida Atlantic University.

Terrie has been recognized frequently. Among her many awards, she was selected 2002 as the Woman of the Year in Nonprofit Communication by the Association of Women in Communication, Atlantic Florida Chapter and 1999 Business Volunteer for the Arts by ArtServe - Broward.
