2009 Annual Report

Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the Nonprofit Management in October 2009, the funding partners recounted their accomplishments and articulated what they have learned from participating in the Fund. A podcast capturing their reflections was produced for others to learn from their experience.



Volunteer Center of Ozaukee County

As always, the Nonprofit Management Fund has assisted our agency in becoming MORE!! -- More knowledgable, more unified, and more effective in delivering our message to the community.

The Volunteer Center of Ozaukee County is already seeing the excitement and approval from its partner agencies and volunteers who have used volunteerozaukee.org. The partner agency training will lead partner agencies to better embrace and own their presence on volunteerozaukee.org.

About Us

The mission of the Nonprofit Management Fund is to improve the management effectiveness and efficiency of nonprofit organizations and to increase the resources for nonprofit management in the greater Milwaukee area. The expectations are that grantees will become more effective and efficient in serving clients, program participants, their audience, or the community-at-large.

Since 1994, the Nonprofit Management Fund has operated as a collaboration of private funders in the metropolitan Milwaukee area. Collectively, the funders in Milwaukee have contributed over $7.5 million for grants to nonprofit organizations and to implement related initiatives.

Management Cornerstones Inc, a firm with 26 years experience in consulting, training and program development with nonprofit organizations, serves as the Fund Advisor. The President of the firm manages both the implementation and evaluation of the grantmaking program as well as oversees the initiatives of the Fund.

Sample funding areas: board development, staff training, strategic/annual planning, mergers, marketing, corporate restructuring, organizational assessment, financial management, human resources, technology, earned income strategies, and fundraising.
